The City owns 1800 acres of parks and playgrounds, maintains roughly 200 acres of SCDOT right of ways, owns and maintains 4.4 million square feet of buildings, maintains ditches, drainage outfalls, and storm drainage pipes. The City must have funding to maintain all of its assets.

I will create a financial policy mandating that the City prioritize maintenance of any City-owned facility, storm drainage, or any other City-owned asset. Additionally, the policy will ensure that the City is focused on funding an appropriate Capital Reserve fund necessary to maintain all of our City-owned assets in the future.
